IFPA 2025 : HOW TO MAKE A GREAT EVENT EVEN BETTER
I did notice that IFPA CEO Cathy Burns was very hands on and was everywhere which was awesome to see!
Cathy took time to meet with everyone and was a wonderful host for the event.
HOW TO MAKE A GREAT EVENT EVEN BETTER
THREE 3️⃣ TAKEAWAYS:
1): FLOOR DENSITY WAS INSANE:
Days one and two were impossible to navigate the floor due to too many people per square foot.
SOLUTION:
A better layout and a floor plan spaced out to accommodate the twenty plus thousand people on the floor… hire a consultant to layout traffic pattern and people per square foot … The Anaheim Convention Center has held as many as 115,000 People at other events … so IFPA needs to analyze this…Ppl
2): MORE ELECTRONIC CHARGING STATIONS:
With so much social media in today’s world π there is a constant demand for charging stations.. there just weren’t enough locations on the floor.
SOLUTION:
Wireless π charging stations spread out around the floor at least one area per hall.
3): MORE LOUNGE SPACE WITH FOOD OPTIONS ON THE FLOOR
This really would help my previous points… it’s all about flow and comfort on the floor …the floor was too jammed up and the booth numbering scheme was very difficult to follow and jumped all over the place!
SOLUTION:
A better floor design is critical. Breaking up the space with ample lounge space and comfortable seating to eat on the floor. While the food truck concept was a nice touch, pricing was expensive and seating was awkward and took people away from the floor…. How about parking π Ώ️ the food trucks on the showroom floors next time ???
With so much video interviewing going on … how about dedicated cut out space for studio style soundproof areas for media outlets to perform interviews???
SOLUTION
How about broadcasters booths above ⬆️ the show room floor ??? … for real time play by play action … I’m surprised there weren’t drones flying around… or big screen TVs to show different shots of the show ???… a people locator would be a nice touch .., just some thoughts π on HOW TO MAKE A GREAT EVENT EVEN BETTER…
